LP Tour: wheelchair accessible holidays

Our story began in the 1990s, when Luigi Passetto entered the tourism industry together with Bruno Colombo, creating the first Italian catalogue by Viaggi del Ventaglio dedicated to travellers in wheelchairs.

At the time, it was a truly pioneering project — and it quickly achieved great success.

After the end of the Viaggi del Ventaglio experience in 2001, the need arose to create an independent company. In 2002, LP Tour (Luigi Passetto Tour) was founded — a name that directly reflects the initials of its founder.

Our first travel agency for people with disabilities opened in Milan, built on a mission that still defines us today: personally inspecting accommodation facilities around the world to verify their real accessibility for wheelchair users.

Today, the LP Tour brand is managed by Sinertur srls, which handles all operational activities and commercial agreements.

At the same time, LP Tour continues to represent the core of our expertise: thanks to decades of experience and our team of on-site verifiers who travel in a wheelchair, we carefully assess and select each property to ensure it meets real accessibility standards.

In 2017 came a major turning point. From a single physical office in Milan, LP Tour expanded online, to reach customers all over Italy.

In addition to the official website lptour.it, today there are two important projects: viaggisenzabarriere.it (specialised in multi-stop tours and packages including flights and transfers with ramp-equipped vehicles) and hotelsenzabarriere.it (specialised in hotel stays in Italy and abroad).

The philosophy behind all our projects remains the same and has guided us for over 20 years: we personally inspect every property before including it on our websites.
