The hotel in San Candido is in a privileged position within the historic center, a few minutes walk from the pedestrian area. It is the perfect place for those looking for a Slow Holiday, a concept that values time and emphasizes well-being and pleasure.
Guests can enjoy a mix of relaxation, nature, art, food, sport, and culture. The hotel boasts a 2,000 m2 garden overlooking the Dolomites, with umbrellas and sun loungers for relaxing. The garden is also accessible for those in wheelchairs.
The building also has an old area dating back to 1911, with a reading room with a fireplace and a billiard room.
The hotel offers private parking and free Wi-Fi.
ACCOMMODATION: The South Tyrolean-style hotel has 2 rooms adapted for people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties, with a maximum capacity of 3 people. The rooms are of the Superior category and have a bathroom with a floor-level shower and wall seat. All rooms have a balcony. Between the bathroom door and the corridor, we point out the raised edge of the floor of about 2 cm (see Photo Gallery).
RESTAURANT: The reception is located on the same floor as the restaurant, bar, conference room, and shared bathroom; they are all easily accessible, even to those who travel in wheelchairs. Guests can enjoy half-board, with the option of à la carte dining. The dishes are based on traditional recipes from South Tyrol and prepared with local ingredients.
Gluten-free and lactose-free menus are available for those with special dietary needs.
WELLNESS CENTER / SPA: The elevator also takes you to the SPA and the children's playroom.
The SPA has extensive massage and beauty treatment rooms, a sauna area with several cabins, a relaxation room, and a panoramic Finnish sauna. The panoramic sauna is accessible from the inside with two steps; from the fitness room, it is accessible via a ramp.
The indoor pool, however, can only be reached by a flight of stairs.
You can get the sunny garden from the terrace, with a beautiful children's playground.
IN WINTER: The Baranci ski area, located near Versciaco and not far from the Hotel, is ideal for a winter holiday. Its slopes are suitable for families; there is also a large playground and an easy toboggan run. To reach Monte Elmo, connected to Croda Rossa, take the ski lifts from Versciaco.
IN SUMMER: In summer, the accessible Hotel in San Candido is the ideal base for exploring the two natural parks of the region: the Sesto Dolomites Park and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Park. Furthermore, the Hotel is an excellent starting point for flat, quiet walks west of Versciaco and east of Dobbiaco. Many of these mountain routes are suitable for people with disabilities and older people and are accessible all year round. Among the excursions recommended for guests with motor disabilities are Val Fiscalina, Prato Piazza, and Lake Dobbiaco. Furthermore, it is possible to reach the pedestrian area of San Candido in a few minutes.
